My wife and I recently visited the Dersaadet Hotel, Instanbul, a present from our son, and what a present, an absolute delight of a hotel.
A few minutes walk from all the main visitor attractions, so near in fact that you can see the Blue Mosque from the roof terrace, whilst on the other side you have a panoramic view of the Sea of Marmara.
This jewel of a hotel is run by Deniz who speaks perfect English as do most of the staff.
We stayed in the Sultans Suite which was enormous, beautifully furnished and had its own balcony which looked out over the sea and the streets below.
The whole hotel is impeccably kept and the staff are very friendly and helpful, arranging taxis, tours and providing tourist maps and local information.
In the evening the rooftop terrace is the perfect place to relax with a sun downer before dining at one of the local restaurants only minutes away.
We have stayed in many hotels throughout the world, but none as welcoming, friendly and so well run as the Dersaadet.
Well done Deniz we look forward to returning in the not too distant future.

I felt I had to write to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay with you. I have never experienced such good service in a hotel and your staff are
to be congratulated for their sheer professionalism.
There are just
so many good things to say. Whoever was on reception when we needed a taxi
always waited outside with us so that he could make sure the driver knew
exactly where we wanted to go. On one occasion, we returned to the hotel
while our room was being cleaned and decided to go and sit on the terrace.
As soon as we had sat down someone asked us if we would like a tea or
coffee. He then came and informed us as soon as our room was ready. I have
never experienced such a willingness to assist guests in any other
hotel.
The hotel itself is really beautiful and very peaceful. It
was a pleasure to return each day to such a haven of tranquility.
If
any of my friends visit Istanbul in the future, I will recommend your hotel
as THE place to stay. As for myself, I would never even consider staying
anywhere else.
A huge thank you to yourself and all of your wonderful
staff for making our stay in Istanbul such a pleasure.

Dear Deniz,
